GdS: Milan will use money from Hauge’s exit to sign Lille star Sanches

By Isak Möller -

Jens Petter Hauge has officially left AC Milan and the Rossoneri intend to use the money from the sale to reinforce the midfield department. Franck Kessie must be replaced and the management is at work.

Yesterday, it was announced by Eintracht Frankfurt that Hauge has joined the club on a permanent basis, following the initial loan during this past season. As Gazzetta Dello Sport point out (via MilanNews), that’s €12m into the bank account of Milan.

Money that they intend to spend during the transfer window this summer, in need of a midfielder as Franck Kessie will leave, among other things. Renato Sanches is one of the Rossoneri’s top targets, per the newspaper, and they intend to make use of his contractual situation.

Expiring in 2023, Milan are aiming for a price tag of €15-16m while Lille have communicated that they want €20m. The Rossoneri have offered €4.5m per year to Sanches and although an agreement hasn’t been reached, the feeling is that they can get there.

In any case, the money from the sale of Hauge could come in very handy for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara this summer.

  1. …and then Popega will play as starter every game. Sometimes Maldini really has strange things in mind.
There is nothing to discuss after Madzukic, Meite, Baka, Ballo, Dallot and so on. But as it seems Maldini understand slary structure well, what means reanto will not get his 5mio – hopefully PL club will snap away

      1. Yeah, Maldini is so bad at his job that Milan just won the Scudetto. Some people just always want to complain even when they have no idea what they are talking about.

    1. What are you talking about @Nesta lol. Relax with Poegba. Keep expectations low for this kid he is not the next “Pogba” lol. Sanches would be an excellent piece of business esp fpr 15-20M. You cannot expect Poegba to just jump in and be a starter. Should not put that kind of pressure on the kid. Let him continue to develop slowly (As he’s doing great) and hopefully he will become the player we all invision. But to imply he’s better than Sanches now is way off IMO. And to criticize M&M is hilarious. Where would we be without them? Do you really think M&M wanted to sign some of those players like Mandzukic? Probably not – but he had zero budget – and knew we needed depth so he did the best he could with what was available to him at that time. Same with Meite. Dallot was good for us but Man U didn’t want to sell. baka has been disappointing and Ballo Toure hasn’t developed as expected. No director hits 100% on all transfers, that’s impossible. M&M have done and excellent job considering we have a very limited budget by todays standards. Point is to trust in their judgement – they have brought us this far
