GdS: Milan monitoring duo from the Bundesliga as Dortmund open to loan formula

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are continuing to monitor various profiles who could replace Hakan Calhanoglu, with two options from the Bundesliga the current stand-outs.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes that Milan are still on the hunt for a new signing for the role of attacking midfielder, and the management have some targets in mind without having moved definitively.

Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara continue to follow both Julian Brandt of Borussia Dortmund and Marcel Sabitzer of RB Leipzig with great interest, as per the newspaper. However, between the two it seems to be easier to land the former since Dortmund have already given their opening to the formula of a loan with option to buy.

Brandt joined BVB from Leverkusen but has never hit the heights expected, while Sabitzer is out of contract in 2022 which is why Leipzig are wanting to sell on a permanent deal.
