One of the keys to the last summer transfer market was at least decreasing or ideally filling the gap between starters and reserve options. At the moment, it seems like that hasn’t happened.

It was clear from the way the second half began: instead of taking courage from Theo Hernandez’s goal at the end of a horrible first half the intensity vanished and the Rossoneri looked like they were playing in energy saving mode.
Against Dortmund they will not be able to do that, and failing to raise the level could well spell the end of the Champions League journey.
