GdS: Milan, Napoli and Inter set to reschedule 29th league round amid UCL quarters

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan, Napoli and Inter are all expected to get new dates for the 29th round of Serie A. All three are still in the Champions League and want to make it as far as possible, which would benefit the league as well.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, via Calcio e Finanza, all three teams are likely to play on Friday the 7th instead of Saturday. Work has already begun on the matter and Lega Serie A are expected to say yes to the change.

This means that Milan will take on Empoli at 21:00 CET on Friday instead of 16:30 on Saturday. The Rossoneri will then take on Napoli on the 12th, Wednesday that is, in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final.

It’s the weekend of Easter and Friday matches are common in that scenario, as happened with Milan last year when they faced Genoa at San Siro. Hopefully, it will help the Rossoneri do well in the Champions League.
