GdS: Milan offer Donnarumma a deal worth €75m gross but Raiola is unmoved – the latest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not moving towards reaching an agreement with Gianluigi Donnarumma over a new contract as quick as they had hoped, according to a report.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport writes (via MilanNews), we knew it would not be a simple negotiation when Mino Raiola and such a high salary request is involved, but it is understood that the agent must try and get the best possible conditions for his client especially given he does not want to move.

No progress has been made in recent weeks, the paper adds, because conversations with Raiola have not really brought the parties as close as was hoped. Milan have put on a five-year deal worth €7.5million net per season – therefore a deal worth €37.5m net – but the agent wants a one or two-year bridge deal.

The offer of €75m gross has not moved Raiola, who wants to explore the idea of a shorter extension than the five-year renewal that Milan have in mind.
