GdS: Milan offer €20m plus winger in bid to beat Juventus and Inter to creative midfielder

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have made an offer to Udinese for Rodrigo De Paul and are now awaiting a response, according to a report.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive), the Rossoneri are keen on landing the Argentine playmaker to the extent that they have actually launched their first proposal to Udinese. There is talk of a cash proposal – presumably around €20m – plus winger Jens Petter Hauge as a counterpart.

The Norwegian has struggled for playing time in 2021 so far and nobody can really explain why, but he is very much liked by Udinese who already requested him on loan in January. Milan need to beat competition from Inter and Juventus for the 26-year-old midfielder, who is in great demand after yet another excellent season for the Friulians with 16 goals contributions (8G, 8A) in 32 league games.

In his career De Paul has held three different roles too, as he can play on either wing but also as a playmaker behind the strikers and as a box-to-box midfielder too. In the latter role he managed to show off his qualities in a 3-5-2. If he joined Milan, he would replace Calhanoglu as the No.10 in Pioli’s 4-2-3-1 as per the report.

  1. Ahmed Mohammed says:

I hope this is just a rumour, the fact that they’re adding Jens make it a fallacy,no team will let go of such a young talent,it can only be true if Jens is going on loan or with a buyback clause.

  2. Tomato says:

A big no when Jens is included. Take care of your fans please.

    1. Cool says:

He’s a very good young player but he isn’t ready we need de Paul we need players that are ready and can challenge and de Paul is ready so I’ll go for that deal is the right deal

      1. Cool says:

We have too many young players we could use some players with experience so de Paul deal isn’t a bad idea

      2. Modou says:

Cool how do you expect Hauge to be ready while he not playing football because milan brought him decoration in that bench he was in the Europa League playing and scorering goals, the stupid pioli remove him there because those stupid element good for nothing players and his stupid son krunic and his cousin castillejo besides De Paul is playing game in game out so please don’t compare them if Hauge is giving the chance and opportunity he will be best in Milan square

      3. Marius says:

Do you even know why Milan is suffering for so many years? It is because of Berlusconi management.. back in those golden days we had the oldest team with the lowest market value and the vast majority of players were on the verge of retirement. and when chinese took over they realised that they had to replace gatusso, maldini, nesta, inzaggi etc with new players. How can you do this with only 100 milions? You can’t. So, bottom line, if you want to grow as a team, you need to invest in young players with good qualities. Hauge is way better than krunic, rebic, calganoglu, castilejo. Selling him will be another stupid decision and i cannot believe Pioli has support from some fans like you.

  3. Yomi Babs says:

Why not give them Castillejo instead of Hauge?

    1. Cool says:

That 8 or 9 or 10m we can get for castillejo is important you have to try and see things from a business point of view

  4. Aaditya Verma says:

Add castillejo instead of hauge he is young talent and can be future of milan if we sell him guarantee he would end up on another big club because he has quality. Pioli out bring Fonseca for next season
    As Roma have got Mourinho.
