Zlatan Ibrahimovic was voted as the best player on the pitch in AC Milan’s win over Napoli, but La Gazzetta dello Sport praised several others too.

The paper (via MilanLive) gave a score of 8 out of 10 to the Swede, who scores two goals as an opportunist, making it 10 in the first eight rounds of Serie A action. However, his muscle injury has everyone in apprehension.

Gianluigi Donnarumma was also praised for his performance. He got a score of 7.5 as he was able to respond to almost all of the home side’s attacks, making a fantastic low save to deny Mertens.

Simon Kjaer and Theo Hernandez were picked out as having solid games, scoring a 7, while Kessie’s consistency and Hauge’s late goal earned them the same grade as well as Ante Rebic, who got the assist for Ibra’s second goal.

Bennacer and Calhanoglu were awarded a 6.5 as they were both in the heat of the battle and made contributions, while Calabria and Romagnoli got 6.
