GdS: Milan player ratings for Torino win – Calhanoglu MOTM, Spurs target Piatek slated

By Oliver Fisher -

Hakan Calhanoglu earned the title of Man of the Match for his performance during Milan’s 4-2 extra time win over Torino in the Coppa Italia.

The Rossoneri completed a comeback to beat the Granata and book their place in the semi-finals.

Giacomo Bonaventura got the scoring underway with a close range finish, but a double from Torino centre-back Bremer saw the away side leading until the first minute of added time at the end of the 90.

Calhanoglu – the third substitute by Pioli – equalised with a fantastically taken strike form distance, and he did the same again early in the second period of extra time to give Milan the lead.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s goal two minutes later sealed the Rossoneri’s passage into the final four, where a two-legged tie with Juventus awaits.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), the Turkey international’s impact was enough to earn him the MOTM title, with a rating of 7.5/10.

Alessio Romagnoli, Samu Castillejo and Ante Rebic all scored 7s, while Theo Hernandez, Ibrahimovic, Rafael Leao and Franck Kessie got 6.5 ratings.

Gianluigi Donnarumma, Andrea Conti, Simon Kjaer, Ismael Bennacer and Giacomo Bonaventura got 6, while only Rade Krunic (5.5) and Krzysztof Piatek (4.5) struggled.
