GdS: Milan player ratings for win vs. Bodo/Glimt – Calhanoglu and Colombo top the chart

By Oliver Fisher -

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the best player on the pitch last night for AC Milan was playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu yet again.

Milan secured their progression to the Play-Off round of Europa League qualification with a frantic 3-2 win over Bodo/Glimt, battling an injury crisis to set up a game against Rio Ave of Portugal next week.

Calhanoglu dazzled under the lights at San Siro, scoring two fantastic goals and also setting up Lorenzo Colombo who netted in his first senior start for the Rossoneri.

In the paper’s player ratings (via MilanNews), Calhanoglu was given a score of 8 out of 10 for his match-winning display, while the other goalscorer Colombo received a 7 as he filled Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s shoes fairly well in his absence.

Gianluigi Donnarumma also received a positive score (6.5), as he made a decisive save of Saltnes in the final 10 minutes. Meanwhile Calabria, Kjaer, Kessie, Castillejo, Saelemaekers, Maldini and Krunic all scored a 6, though there were ratings of 5.5 awarded to Gabbia, Bennacer and Theo Hernandez.
