AC Milan put in probably their best performance of the season at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona last night, winning 4-0 and dominating from start to finish.
This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport has their ratings for the game, starting with the team’s overall performance which received a score of 8, as did head coach Stefano Pioli for his tactical masterclass.
Rafael Leao was the man of the match as he scored a brace and received an 8, while the lowest rating went to Olivier Giroud who missed a couple of chances but was still worthy of a 6.5.
Mike Maignan, Davide Calabria, Simon Kjaer, FIkayo Tomori and Theo Hernandez all scored a 7 out of 10 as the defence were not beaten by the league’s best attack.
Rate Krunic got a 7.5 while Sandro Tonali and Brahim Diaz each received an 8. Ismael Bennacer and Alexis Saelemaekers both got a 7, while the other substitutes Ante Rebic and Divock Origi were not rated.

If it was the “best half of his career”, 7 is surely a slightly mean rating for Saelemaekers…
Not gonna comment on the ratings but that photo sums up the match nicely. 😀 😀 😀
What’s with these low scores
I figure we have to beat Man City 10-0 to get some respectable 8.5s
