GdS: Milan playmaker has €32m offer amid interest from Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd

Hakan Calhanoglu has a large contract offer on the table from Al-Duhail in Qatar but also has plenty of other options if he decides to leave AC Milan, a report claims.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Al-Duhail – the Doha-based team in which the former Roma and Juventus defender Mehdi Benatia plays – have sent Calhanoglu’s agent an offer of €32m over three years. This includes an €8m per season net salary plus €8m signing on fee. It is enough to push the Turk’s agent to schedule an appointment with emissaries from the club for next week.

The 27-year-old currently gets paid €2.5m per year at Milan but is in great demand and is likely to get a raise, though it is unthinkable that he will get what the Qatar club are offering him from another club in Europe.

However, the attacking midfielder is also on the wish list of Juventus and Inter – two of Milan’s biggest rivals – and he has a market in Europe, with Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Atletico Madrid following him. Next week will be the time to start thinking about the future, after Sunday’s top four decider against Atalanta.
