AC Milan have started the season incredibly well in the league, collecting 32 points after 12 games. Napoli have the same record and are only ahead on goal difference, making the Scudetto pursuit interesting already.
Between now and Christmas, the Rossoneri will face a tough stretch of games and this period will be decisive for the remainder of the season. This was underlined in today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews.
Fiorentina away, which is the next game, is a tricky clash and it will be interesting to see Milan’s strategy for that one. The three games after that in the league may not be super challenging, but the Champions League changes things.
The Rossoneri must win their remaining two games and the encounter with Atletico Madrid will take place the week after the Fiorentina game. A poor result there could really hurt the team mentally.
Before Christmas, a direct clash with Napoli also awaits so it will in many ways be a defining period for the club.
