GdS: Milan prepare for Torino clash with new quartet – youngest attack in Europe

By Isak Möller -

Milan are starting to get used to emergencies, although the situation is clearly starting to tear on the players. After missing so many key players against Juventus, tonight won’t be any different as they take on Torino.

In today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the focus is put on the unprecedented quartet that Stefano Pioli will field up front: Samu Castillejo, Brahim Diaz, Jens Petter Hauge and Rafael Leao, with an average age of 22.7.

Well, this is the youngest attacking department among those of the European leaders. The likes of Liverpool and Manchester United (Premier League leaders) and Bayern Munich (Bundesliga), Atletico Madrid (La Liga) and Lyon (Ligue 1) haven’t matched it.

Castillejo, with his 25 years, will be the most experienced element up front even though Rafael Leao is the one with the most minutes. This quartet has never started together before, not even in the Europa League, which makes it very interesting.
