It was a tough Saturday evening for AC Milan as Fiorentina dominated most of the game, eventually taking him the three points. Several Rossoneri players failed to impress, with few high ratings handed out this morning.
Today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below) has rated each of the Milan players. Starting with the positives, Mike Maignan was given a 7/10 as he made plenty of saves, including a very good one on Jack Bonaventura.
Theo Hernandez also passed the test at 6/10, even if he did struggle at times in the defensive phase. His fantastic goal made up for that. The ones after that, at 5.5, were Ismael Bennacer, Charles De Ketelaere, Olivier Giroud, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Tiemoue Bakayoko.

Pierre Kalulu and Fikayo Tomori couldn’t quite contact Fiorentina’s attack and both got a 5/10, just like Junior Messias, Sandro Tonali and Divock Origi. Finally, Malick Thiaw made a couple of big mistakes and Ante Rebic didn’t impress at all, both getting a 4.5.
Thiaw was definitely not the worst player on the pitch. Malick gave up possession dangerously and lost Jovic for the goal but he was strong one on one and was never easily beaten. Fiorentina were on top of us in every department , spurred on by an excellent home crowd without Diaz & Leao. Rebic & Origi worst two players on the pitch with Tomori, Tonali and Messias also ineffective.
+1
Last night effectively ended Origi and Rebic’s Milan career. Origi is the only I signing I would give Maldini and Massara stick for. He’s selfish, can’t hold up the ball, no vision, poor goal scoring record, and high salary. I hate knowing that Belotti was begging to join us. We didn’t have a good summer but Thiaw seems to be a bargain, regardless of his performance last night, which still wasn’t worse than Tomori’s. CDK’s last decent game was probably Napoli but he’s shown flashes and probably needs a pre-season or a big goal to gain confidence. Adli was impressive last night and I’m surprised he hasn’t gotten more chances. If we can unlock those three guys, make top four, and beat Spurs, I’ll consider it a good season. Then we can think of a striker, right winger (has to be Asensio), and defensive midfielder for next year.
I hope never to see rebic in a Milan jersey again. The guy can’t even complete a simple pass or control a ball ffs
TBH, my feeling after the game was good because of CDK’s glimpses of brilliance. You could easily see his potensial and whats to come from this man.
League is already lost, and now all we can hope for i CL-qualification. I hope to see more games like this from CDK, and with Leao, I think there is still hope against Tottenham.
Rebic and Origi on the other hand was awful, and I dont think they can compete on this level anymore.
Remember, we as fans, have to have the team’s back, and support them through thick and thin.
