GdS: Milan player ratings for Salernitana draw – Giroud shows off his class

By Isak Möller -

Olivier Giroud got his fairytale ending with a nice goal against Salernitana on Saturday, saluting the fans for one last time. Several players did well, as highlighted by Gazzetta dello Sport, despite the 3-3 result.

The pink newspaper has taken stock of the player performances (see photo below) and although the nature of the game had an impact, the overall verdict is positive. The result was secondary from the start and at least the farewells at the end were beautiful.

Speaking of beautiful, Giroud was named the MOTM by the newspapers (as well as by us) with a rating of 7/10. He found the back of the net with an acrobatic finish and with one goal, he showed what he brought to Milan in these three years.

Davide Calabria (bagged a goal), Christian Pulisic (bagged an assist) and Alessandro Florenzi (bagged an assist also impressed throughout the game and got the same rating as the Frenchman. Especially the veteran did well, playing in a midfield role this time out.

Theo Hernandez and Rafael Leao were both above average at 6.5/10, causing havoc for Salernitana when going forward. The likes of Antonio Mirante, Matteo Gabbia, Mattia Caldara, Fikayo Tomori, Tijjani Reijnders, Ismael Bennacer and Yacine Adli did enough, passing the test at 6/10.
