GdS: Milan player ratings for win vs. Verona – Sportiello the best; Reijnders struggles

AC Milan came away with the win against Hellas Verona and thus bounced back after a tough week. Several players did well and as per a newspaper, Marco Sportiello was the best for the Rossoneri.

It was a scrappy affair at San Siro, with both teams battling constantly, and this made things difficult for the players. Having said that, a few of them certainly did better than others, such as the goalscorer Rafael Leao.

As per today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (see photo below), the best was not the winger but rather Marco Sportiello. He made a great reflex save in the first half and was named the MOTM with a 6.5/10, the same rating as Simon Kjaer, Fikayo Tomori, Alessandro Florenzi and Leao.

Malick Thiaw, Yunus Musah, Olivier Giroud, Luka Jovic, Tommaso Pobega, Noah Okafor, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Davide Bartesaghi all passed the test with a 6/10. The likes of Rade Krunic, Tijjani Reijnders and Christian Pulisic did not do as well, though, at 5.5.

The worst was the Dutchman, as he struggled to impose himself against Verona’s Michael Folorunsho and got lost between the lines.
