GdS: Milan rejected two January bids for Hauge – the management have full faith in him

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan chose to reject two loan offers for Jens Petter Hauge during the January transfer window, according to a report.

Hauge gave a long interview to The Athletic about how his move to Milan came about and how he has settled during his first few months, which have seen him score four goals across all competitions including three in Europe.

His sining is somewhat of a fairytale as he arrived at San Siro for a Europa League qualifier against Milan with Bodo/Glimt and by the end of the night we had reported exclusively about Milan’s interest in the Norwegian youngster.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), Bayer Leverkusen and Southampton came forward asking for Hauge on loan, but were met with resistance by Milan.

The player is one that Maldini and Massara firmly believe in and – despite having been removed from squad list for the Europa League – he remains at the centre of their plans.

The paper even goes on to speculate that Pioli could deploy him with greater continuity in Serie A given that will be his only commitment between now and the end of the season.
