AC Milan have already started planning for next season and with that comes a lot of transfer rumours. One of the priorities is the right-wing position and one of their targets is Edon Zhegrova.
Zhegrova plays for Lille and has found the back of the net four times this season, assisting an additional five goals. The 24-year-old was born in Germany but represents Kosovo, meaning he could become the first Kosovan player to play for Milan.
According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Milan are indeed interested in the player and could use their excellent relations with Lille, even if no negotiations are underway yet. Given his young age (and also left-footed), he could be the perfect replacement for Junior Messias.
The rumour started yesterday as the Kosovan journalist Arlind Sadiku wrote: “San Siro is expected to be the ‘second home’ of one of the players of the Kosovo national team from next summer.”
Based on what Milan are looking for this summer, Zhegrova is most likely the player Sadiku is talking about, as stated in the Gazzetta report.
