GdS: Milan searching for a new defender as Man Utd make stance on 22-year-old clear

By Oliver Fisher -

At the moment everything points towards Diogo Dalot’s experience at AC Milan being just a year long, according to a report.

Dalot joined Milan on a season-long dry loan in the summer transfer window and saw his starts mostly restricted to the Europa League due to the impressive performances of Davide Calabria and Theo Hernandez.

Despite this, Dalot did come out during the season and remark that he is happy to be at Milan and that his start to life at the club has been ‘amazing’, while speculation from a number of sources is suggesting that Milan may look to make his move a permanent one.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Milan are looking for a deputy to Theo Hernandez for next season and the Rossoneri management would not have minded Dalot staying.

However, Manchester United do not seem willing to renew his loan as things stand, while a permanent deal does not appear to be on the cards either.
