AC Milan are looking to obtain a further discount in the Sandro Tonali operation having reached an agreement with Brescia, according to a report.
As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri management have also budgeted for a saving on the salary of Tonali, who last summer signed a contract worth €1.6m net per season.
Brescia has given a discount of €10m but now Milan expects the midfielder to be willing to do the same, in proportion. The leaders of the Rossoneri have not yet met his agent, but it is likely that the issue will be addressed as early as next week.
Technically, Tonali is still contracted to Brescia for another two years with a salary of just €130k per year since the option to buy expired, meaning however much Maldini may ask him for a sacrifice, it would still be a big pay rise from his Brescia salary.
Between Milan and Brescia the white smoke is very close after yet another positive contact with Cellino. The Rossoneri will pay another €7m (after the €10m already spent last September. To reach the total €25m there is €3m for Olzer’s valuation and the other €5m would be bonuses.
