GdS: Milan set for another tough negotiation regarding Donnarumma’s renewal

By Oliver Fisher -

Agent Mino Raiola and the Milan management have different ideas regarding the renewal of Gianluigi Donnarumma, a report claims.

According to a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) on Tuesday, Milan want to solve the renewal of Donnarumma and the player wants to stay at the club.

There is not yet an appointment on the agenda with Mino Raiola to discuss that deal, but the Rossoneri want a long-term deal to be agreed with the 21-year-old as Gigio is considered fundamental.

An important issue in the negotiation is whether a release clause will be inserted, and Raiola would like to set it at a relatively low amount to favour a possible future transfer, but Milan have other plans.

The feeling is that in the end an agreement will be found, given the willingness of the goalkeeper to renew, but negotiations could go on for a while as Raiola does not tend to back down easily.

As for the salary, it is possible that the current amount of €6million net will be kept as the fixed base with the addition of bonuses that can allow Donnarumma to earn about €7million.
