GdS: Milan set sights on possible De Paul alternative who could arrive from Russia for €20m

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan have set their sights on CSKA Moscow star Nikola Vlasic as a possible alternative to Rodrigo De Paul, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo (via ACMBrasil) reported yesterday that Maldini has been talking with representatives of De Paul in recent days over a possible move, while MilanNews confirmed that the interest is concrete despite the high asking price.

However, La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports that Milan also have an alternative target in mind, namely Nikola Vlasic of CSKA Moscow. The 23-year-old Croatian player – who was crowned as the best player in the Russian league – is valued at around €20m, a figure which is far from out of reach for the Rossoneri especially if they were to qualify for the Champions League.

Vlasic, formerly of Everton, has 16 goals contributions (11G, 5A) in 26 league games this season for CSKA, having managed 12 goals and 5 assists in 30 games last season.
