GdS: ‘Diavolo on the attack’ – the three wingers Milan are eyeing ahead of 2025

We are still in the early stages of the 2024-25 season, but the AC Milan management are planning ahead of time for a potential overhaul of the attack, as per a report.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) talks about how the futures of Luka Jovic, Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze remain up in the air and there are three targets in mind:  Andreas Skov Olsen of Club Brugge, Noa Lang of PSV and Ismaila Sarr of Crystal Palace.

If confidence in the current trio fades, then the directors will begin looking around and they are admirers of Skov Olsen since his time at Bologna, where he played 70 games over two and a half seasons.

Since January 2022 he has been in Belgium, playing as a right winger, and he scored 10 goals in the last Jupiler Pro League season, while in the current season he is already at four in the first 10 games. He would cost around €15m, as per the paper.

Lang meanwhile was a name that Milan looked at before they went for his Club Brugge team-mate Charles De Ketelaere. The Dutch winger is now at PSV Eindhoven, who bought him in July 2023 for the sum of €15m, but this season he has made just three starts in eight games.

At 25 years old and with a career spent between Belgium and the Netherlands, Lang feels ready to test his qualities in a different league and given that he is not an untouchable starter, the fee might not be that high.

The third option is Sarr, who has played for Metz, Rennes and Olympique Marseille in Ligue 1 and in the Premier League with Watford and Crystal Palace. In England, he has played from the start once out of seven, against Liverpool in the last round.

He is not untouchable therefore and the cost of the transfer fee, also in this case, is around €15m. It is very much a sustainable figure for the Rossoneri’s accounts, but first signs are awaited from Chukwueze, Okafor and Jovic.

  1. No thanks to all 3, watched Sarr last week for Palace, absolutely rubbish, almost as bad as Emerson Royal !!
Why can’t we go for Orsolini, Berardi, Volpato, why more cheap foreigners ??!!

  2. A player from Belgium and two lads who can’t get in average teams. If I close my eyes I can almost see Calabria lifting ol’ big ears above his head…
