GdS: Milan vs. Bodo/Glimt probable starting XIs – no room for error as Pioli chooses certainties

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan boss Stefano Pioli is expected to stick to those who offer him guarantees for Thursday night’s game against Bodo/Glimt.

Milan will have no room for errors as it is another straight knockout game, just like last week’s match in Dublin against Shamrock Rovers.

Stefano Pioli will have to do without the suspended Rebic but above all there is a big emergency in defence. In addition to full-back Andrea Conti, there are three out of five centre-backs out of action as Romagnoli, Musacchio and Conti are all out.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below), Pioli will therefore field an unchanged XI from the side that were victorious against Shamrock.

That means a back four of Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia and Theo Hernandez protecting Gianluigi Donnarumma with Kessie and Bennacer ahead in midfield.

From right to left the forward department will go Castillejo, Calhanoglu, Saelemaekers with Ibrahimovic the striker.
