GdS: Milan vs. Inter will see Cardinale shake hands with Zhang for the first time

The Derby della Madonnina between AC Milan and Inter tonight will see two very different ownerships face off against each other, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via PianetaMilan) reports that the derby will welcome the new owner of Milan Gerry Cardinale to the stands of San Siro where he will shake hands with Inter president Steven Zhang for the first time.

It will be the first acquaintance between two totally opposite worlds, and the pair will have to collaborate more in the coming weeks to talk about the stadium issue among other things.

Paul Singer of Elliott Management will also be present at the game as will former CEO Adriano Galliani, therefore meaning three ownerships will be represented. It is obvious that the spotlight will be focused especially on Cardinale after the closing of the takeover on 31 August, though.

Compared to Cardinale, Zhang is an experienced owner and the Nerazzurri president arrives at the derby after a troubled transfer market, in which the sale of Milan Skriniar was vetoed. Zhang today will experience the match that provokes intense emotion, hoping to resolve the financial issues off the field and win trophies on it.
