AC Milan have confirmed that they want to build their new stadium in the La Maura area and a preliminary plan will soon be revealed. In the meantime, the Rossoneri are also working on a secret weapon.
As reported by today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via Felice Raimondi), Milan’s idea to get the locals on board the project is to build the green park in another area. Not far from La Maura, but rather very close.
As you can see in the image below, Milan intend to build the stadium in the La Maura area. That area is part of the intended green park, which is why the locals have been protesting the new stadium, wanting more greenery rather than more cement.
Repubblica: tre anelli e 70.000 posti.

The solution would thus be to offer another area for a very big green park, in an area that is currently privately owned. We can only speculate, but that area could perhaps be the Pista Trenno (see image above).
It should be mentioned that La Maura is also privately owned, but it’s also the subject of a pre-agreement between two companies that foresees a green area. Of course, Milan are hoping that the solution mentioned above will work.
