GdS: Milan will only part ways with Hauge this summer on one condition

By Isak Möller -

Jens Petter Hauge, just one year after joining Milan, could really leave as several clubs have expressed their interest. Although the Norwegian has great potential, a sale would generate a good capital gain.

The winger impressed during his first season with the Rossoneri but ultimately struggled to get playing time. Even when he did well, such as when he scored against Sampdoria, he didn’t get the chance by Stefano Pioli afterwards.

Therefore, Hauge could consider a move this summer and it seems Milan are thinking about the same thing. However, according to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), they will only part ways with him on one condition.

They paid €4m for him last year and want no less than €15m this summer. Furthermore, they won’t accept any loan formulas. Wolfsburg are one of the teams interested but they aren’t the only Bundesliga team in that category.

Selling Hauge will be Milan’s biggest regret of this decade.

Yep i totally agree.what are they thinking if true!

    2. Alex says:

      Locatelli already holds that crown

    3. Eddie says:

They gave Leo more time than Hauge and Hauge had performing far better given how little chance he had. yet Hauge is the one being sold? What sense does that make?

      1. El Zhar says:

Yeah, we are thinking the same bro…
Maybe management only thinking about the surplus money they can get by selling Hauge compared to Leao…

      2. milanfansfromchina says:

Pioli even gave the loanees whom we didn’t own and who were everage on so many levels, such as Dalot and Meïté, more time to play than Hauge, our own player with great potential!

This is really being a pattern……

Very true. As regards “struggled to get playing time”, that is the fault of the coach, and not his. The coach gave plenty of playing time to less deserving players.

        Spot on!

So, are we going to lose a young talent due to the stubborn coach again?

Remember Locatelli left Milan because coward Gattuso preferred so-called experience players and did not give Locatelli playing time?

    Crazy decision!

I can never understand Milan’s transfer plans. This guy has so much potential. Why sell him? We do this to so many of our players and when they leave for greener pastures, they always show their true worth. Locatelli is a good example. So was Paqueta. They buy these players and never play them to their strengths, always in some off position. I blame the coach and the higher ups. We need a coach that can get the most out of their players. Pioli is not said coach.

  4. Jerry says:

Don’t believe most things you read about the transfer and selling of players. Until it’s done. Don’t think Maldini will want to make that mistake.

  5. Viking malta says:

Another repetition of offloading future stars at bargain prices. The few chances given to Hauge he demostrated great skills but still Milan want to sell. Unbelivable.

  6. Monitoring spirit says:

Milan management need to learn from past mistakes, why sell your bright future starts for another club prospect with who when they get to Milan they becomes flops, sometimes I wonder if Maldini truly understands football they better sell Leao and leave Hauge, 3of our prospects are doing fine in the Italian national team namely $ruma,Locatteli and Christiante those are mistakes that shouldn’t repeat itself.
