GdS: Milan willing to accept new Krunic offer in January – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Rade Krunic’s future with AC Milan remains in limbo and he could leave the club in January, a report claims. The contract renewal has not been defined and in the event of an offer, he would likely say goodbye.

Kurnic was a crucial player at the start of this season due to Ismael Bennacer’s injury. However, after getting injured himself, the Bosnian has struggled to perform and the Algerian’s return is now around the corner.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), the contract renewal has not been defined, with the parties having very different views on the new salary. In the event of an offer in January, therefore, Milan are willing to say yes.

It could be the Rossoneri’s last chance to properly monetise Krunic’s departure, seeing as his contract will expire in 2025. He would have just one year left in the summer and Milan would certainly be in a tough negotiating position.

Fenerbahce were very interested in the summer, even making an offer, and it remains to be seen if they will make a new attempt in January. Krunic would accept an offer from them, as the report concludes, and the feeling is that Milan now would as well.
