GdS: Milan youngster set for another loan spell with Bari

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan striker Marco Nasti could be heading back to Bari for another season on loan with the Serie B side to continue his development.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Radio Rossonera), Nasti may find himself away from the club once again this season and Puglia is calling him.

Nasti appeared 38 times for Bari last season as the side were almost relegated down to Serie C despite recently being a game away from making it into Serie A. He scored seven goals and got two assists, and Milan are open to letting him have another year in Bari.

With Milan launching their U23 side called Milan Futuro, there are lots of decisions to be made regarding the young players at the squad who were either in the Primavera side or out on loan at other clubs.

Whilst someone like Alex Jimenez is now expected to straddle to U23s and the first team, it seems that Milan favour a loan for Nasti given he is now 20 years old and has scored goals at a level higher than Serie C.

Assuming Milan sign a notable striker, and perhaps get someone like Alvaro Morata as well for depth, there is no chance of Nasti breaking into the first team this season.

  1. He is not breaking into Sassuolo 1st team let alone Milan. He is not even close to the level Milan needs. They need to stop wasting his time and sell him.

  2. Hope its not RIP career but he was one of the more promising ones (sounds familiar). Serie B is better than where the U23 will play so hopefully he stays. It’s so tricky and difficult to develop players into a good level or above
