GdS: Milan’s core continues to develop and grow as Elliott’s youth project is working

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s results on the field serve as prove that the youth project can work and an exciting core is being built, a report claims.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) writes how players like Simon Kjaer, Olivier Giroud and Zlatan Ibrahimovic are obviously fundamental for Milan given the fact they bring experience and leadership to the team.

However, the backbone of the squad remains green and above all robust. Fikayo Tomori is the pivot of defence, Theo Hernandez is one of the best in his position in the world, Davide Calabria is future captain material, Ismael Bennacer is an all-round midfielder and Sandro Tonali has really kicked on.

In attack Rafael Leao is more and more decisive and consistent, Brahim Diaz continues to make vital contributions and Alexis Saelemaekers was a cheap investment that paid off. There is no lack of talent, and the Elliott project works, writes the paper.
