GdS: Milan’s injury crisis deepens after Kjaer limps off – the latest from the treatment room

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan’s injury situation has become a problem yet against, and Simon Kjaer’s latest issue has compounded it even more.

As La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reports, Milan returned from the game against Juventus with one more point, but also with one less player available to Pioli as Kjaer went off in the first half due to a problem with his right thigh. It is yet another muscular problem, which is why Calabria, Bakayoko and Krunic are all out.

Then there is Ibrahimovic and Giroud, who are respectively out due to inflammation of the Achilles tendon and back. Pioli spoke on the issue: “Going on the pitch so often it is inevitable that situations of this type can arise. We are playing games of great intensity, I think the situation can improve, but only starting from the next stop.”

The hope at Milanello is to be able to recover some players in the next few days, but most of those who are currently in the infirmary risk returning to the field only after the October international break.
