GdS: Milan’s probable XI for Bologna – Pioli opts for consistency

By Isak Möller -

This evening, AC Milan will face Bologna at Stadio Renato Dall’Ara, looking to build on the important win against Parma last time out. Therefore, Stefano Pioli will opt for consistency.

The Rossoneri dominated the game against Parma but failed to convert their chances, lacking the necessary composure. However, the overall performance was positive and they would want to continue like that.

According to today’s edition of Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews.it), Pioli won’t make any changes to the starting eleven. Don’t fix what isn’t broken; this certainly seems to be the thought in the manager’s head.

In other words, Kris Piatek will get a new chance up front, hoping to break his goal drought. In addition to the Pole, Franck Kessie will keep his spot in the midfield, despite rumours suggesting that Rade Krunic could replace the Ivorian.

Currently sitting in 11th place, the Rossoneri will have to finish strong ahead of the Christmas break, gaining some confidence ahead of the second half of the season.

Likely Milan XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Conti, Musacchio, Romagnoli, Hernandez; Kessie, Bennacer, Bonaventura; Suso, Piatek, Calhanoglu.
