GdS: Milan’s stance on signing a new striker highlighted amid links with move for Jovic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are not currently in the market for a new striker as Stefano Pioli believes he has three options he can count on, a report claims.

Pioli stated during an interview with DAZN earlier in the month that he feels he is well stocked in the attacking department thanks to the positive signs shown in preseason by Lorenzo Colombo, who scored in his first senior start last night.

However, there are sources that believe Milan will see what opportunities are available late in the window to give Pioli some help in the forward department, with Luka Jovic arriving on loan a possibility not to be excluded.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) though, Milan are not looking to sign a deputy Ibrahimovic on the market despite the fact the Swede has Coronavirus and Rafael Leao is not yet fit.

That is because there are already three players in the squad who can replace the 38-year-old when available, as Pioli feels he can trust Rebic, Leao and also on the very young Colombo.
