Massimiliano Allegri has one battle, in particular, to figure out for AC Milan’s starting eleven against Torino on Monday evening.
After the defeat against Lazio, which saw them get knocked out of the Coppa Italia, Milan will be eager for revenge against Torino on Monday evening. However, it’s arguably one of the toughest away clashes as the Rossoneri have won just one of the last 12 meetings.

In short, it will be very important for Allegri to make the right starting eleven decisions. Santiago Gimenez, Zachary Athekame and Youssouf Fofana will miss out due to injury, but the rest of the players are fully fit and ready for the clash.
Midfield battle to decide
As things stand, according to Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below), Allegri has one major decision to make: who should start alongside Luka Modric and Adrien Rabiot in midfield? Samuele Ricci is in pole position, but Ardon Jashari and Ruben Loftus-Cheek remain in the running.
Of course, having joined Milan from Torino in the summer, there could be an advantage to having Ricci on the pitch. He knows the stadium well and also helped Il Toro preserve the positive run at home against Milan during his years at the club.
The rest of the eleven should be as expected, with Matteo Gabbia back in the heart of the defence, Davide Bartesaghi back on the left flank, and Christian Pulisic back up front. It should be noted that Marco Landucci will lead the team, not Allegri.
Predicted Milan XI (3-5-2): Maignan; Tomori, Gabbia, Pavlovic; Saelemaekers, Ricci, Modric, Rabiot, Bartesaghi; Pulisic, Leao.

You know Fofana played apart in the game winning goal against Lazio, Right? And the game winning goal against Inter, right? How did they look without Fofana against Lazio 2 days ago?
Fofana has not been bad. His shooting is bad but he has played a big part in a lot of our goals this season and he does a ton of work off the ball that nobody here seems to recognize, but Allegri does. I’ll take him over Ricci any day.

Milan won their last 2 Serie A games 1-0 and Fofana created both goals. Without his stellar play Milan do not win those games. That’s points on the board directly from his feet. I think we’ve all seen that Ricci is not the player everyone hoped/expected he would be.
Or could’ve there been more goals if not because of his misplaced passes and choices to shoot from 30yards away missing by 10 yards.
My friend AC Milan are top of the league, the team literally cannot do better than that. And Fofana’s contribution to Milan’s results is clear and obvious. 1-0? 5-0? = 3pts. btw Fofana has 1 more goal than most of the midfield roster.

So glad to have Pulisic back. The Leao & RLC combo did not work in the cup game. Neither had a good game. Leao seemed to play too far forward. Couldn’t inter change with the other striker like he does with others.
