Geoffrey Moncada and Giorgio Furlani are aiming to improve the AC Milan squad away from the spotlight with phone calls, negotiations, enquiries and meetings, a report claims.
A report from La Gazzetta dello Sport writes that the new management formed by the chief scout and the CEO have been at work for a week with a notebook in hand, list of names ready, some already crossed out and others circled in red.
Right wing
The reports adds how on Tuesday afternoon a meeting was held with the agents of Samuel Chukwueze, the Villarreal winger who scored 13 goals last season.
Moncada met the player’s entourage at Casa Milan for a couple of hours. It was a cognitive meeting where they talked about the player and the strategies, with more updates to come and an asking price of around €20m.
Christian Pulisic is another target for the wing. He seems to be out of Chelsea’s plans but earns about €6m net per year, though his contract expires in 2024 just like Chukwueze’s does.
In the last few hours, Reiss Nelson has re-emerged as a possibility too. The 23-year-old right winger has a contract with Arsenal which is about to expire and though there are reports of a renewal agreement, he has not yet signed it.
Playmaker
For the No.10 role, Daichi Kamada is now one step away from the Rossoneri. He has amassed 40 goals in the last four years, with 28 appearances and six goals for the Japanese national team. He will arrive on a free.
The latest idea for the playmaker position leads to the United States and more specifically to Thiago Almada, a recent world champion with Argentina. He has 7 goals and 8 assists already this season in 16 appearances.
Tommaso Baldanzi – a protagonist with the Italy U20s at the World Cup recently – is also on the list. Half of Italy are keen on the Empoli talent, who is a self-proclaimed Milan fan.
Striker
Looking at the striker position, Marcus Thuram remains the number one target. He is choosing between the Rossoneri – who have offered less but can guarantee a starting spot – and PSG, with things stalled at the moment.
Olivier Giroud’s deputy could be Mehdi Taremi, the Iranian from Porto who has scored 80 goals in the last three years. He is prolific but is approaching 31 years old, making him one of the names near the end of the list.
If we can get at least one of these players , I wish it’s Thiago Almada. He has a lot of talent and we’ll finally have someone that can be a threat from set pieces
If the light is off, how can GdS see the target list?
by using infra red telescope
Working with lights off indeed.
Every days new name and picture coming up.
That all.
I told in sempre milan many times, without maldini”s aura i wanna see what furlani moncada and that money ball expert can do
Chukwueze is a little overhype because amazing preformance aginst Real, but he is good player that will improve our right wing.
Pulisic is expensive and not worth that, he have less goal contribution then Sela.
Almeda is an amazing talent that have the potential to be one of the best, but if we bring Kamada, and we should (because he is free and prove himselfe in good league), so we it will be waste of money to put another AM and we dont have EU slot left, and we also have CDK and in my opinion he deseve another chance.
Thuram is overated AF, his best season he scored 13 goals and in France he is reserve of Giroud, the only good thing that he will come as FA.
Taremi is old and I hope he will not come.
we need a profile like Muani upfront – brain and superquick
Today’s football is all about Money but Milan management want to sign players with dream not with money!
Too many articles.
Too many words.
Too much noise.
The real deals are done in secret. In silence. This Milan is a joke.
Your problem with articles and Milan? If you check every other big clubs out there, there always will be transfer speculation. All those articles didn’t represent what the club does, what the club really wanted.
The articles come out because thats what reporter does, they ‘report’ anything that will attract reader, even if what they repot is just fake news
Working with the lights off means they’re only working during the day. Maybe they should turn the lights on and work late for once.
My dear club all you do is talk! Talk!! Talk!!! Swing to the fucking action
We need to make much better use of the bosmans. Look at Roma, smaller club, less history, no CL yet they still sign Aoaur and Ndicka – who would have been great for us.
Clubs are increasingly less likely to sign players mid contract, so it will make it harder to sell for a profit.
This year there are so many good deals to be had. For example Lucas Moura released from Spurs – not bad on a free if he reduces his wages in exchange for CL football and a regular starting spot.
