GdS: Monza express interest in exit-bound Milan midfielder – summit likely

In addition to a couple of reinforcements, AC Milan are also working on a few exits as we are approaching the end of the transfer window. Tiemoue Bakayoko is expected to leave and Monza are interested, a report claims.

The Frenchman had a very disappointing 2021/22 season and he’s not part of Milan’s future plans. However, he still has one year left on his loan and Chelsea are unwilling to take him back unless a new destination is ready.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport’s Luca Bianchin, Monza have set their sights on Bakayoko as they want to reinforce the midfield. A summit could take place this weekend between the clubs to discuss the matter. A few foreign clubs are also keeping tabs on the Frenchman.

Matteo Gabbia is another player that could leave Milan this summer, but he could be important for the Rossoneri’s UCL squad (read more here). Bakayoko, on the other hand, is still at the club solely because a midfielder hasn’t been brought in.
