The Scudetto race in Italy is entering a crucial phase, despite Inter’s seemingly comfortable lead, with Milan and Napoli lurking behind the Nerazzurri.
Napoli played against Cagliari last night and won thanks to a Scott McTominay goal in the second minute. Fittingly, they are now in second place, two points behind Milan who will play their game today (18:00 against Torino).
A win would see Massimiliano Allegri’s men leapfrog the Partenopei, reclaiming second place, while also putting pressure on Inter. Cristian Chivu’s men have Fiorentina away this round and La Viola have picked up some steam.
Tough games for all
Today’s edition of Gazzetta dello Sport (see photo below) has taken a look at the remaining schedule for the aforementioned three teams. There are some tough games for all teams, with Easter set to be a decisive matchday for the Scudetto race.
Inter will take on Roma at home then, while Milan will travel to Naples for their game against Napoli. Of course, as the pink newspaper points out, a lot depends on the results today and tomorrow, but that weekend could well be the decisive one.
