New signing Tijjani Reijnders is set to choose the number 14 short when his move to AC Milan is made official this week, a report claims.
As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport (via Milan Zone on Twitter), the Dutch midfielder is going to be the new number 14 at the club.
The most recent player to hold that shirt number at the club was Tiemoue Bakayoko, so it is not one that necessarily comes with a huge amount of pressure. Before him, it was Andrea Conti and Matias Fernandez.
Some major names have worn the number 14 at Milan over the years, such as Frank Rijkaard, Carlo Ancelotti, Alessandro Costacurta, Paolo Maldini, Fabio Capello, George Weah and Massimo Ambrosini.
Reijnders is set to become the fifth player that Milan have signed this summer and he will be the third one that a transfer fee has been spent on, with his move from AZ Alkmaar set to be confirmed very soon.
He took a number that 3 big fails had before him? Perfect. 😂
Why are you like this? You didn’t see the great players that wore the number; Maldini, Capelo, Rijkaard, Ancelotti, Weah. It’s the flops you decide to see…
“Why are you like this” – One of life’s great mysteries. 🙂 LOL!!!!!!
Excited to see him play.
