GdS: Origi will join Milan after the Champions League final and will compete with Giroud

Liverpool forward Divock Origi will move to AC Milan after the Champions League and fight Olivier Giroud for his place in the team, a report claims.

As has been reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport today, the Belgian forward for now is focused on helping his team win the Champions League against Real Madrid in Paris.

On Monday though, his attention will turn to the Rossoneri and he will undergo medical examinations and sign his new contract.

His main aim will be to dislodge French striker Olivier Giroud from the starting lineup as regularly as possible.

He has a reputation as a player who comes up with extremely important goals when his team needs them. He is also only 27-years-old which means that Milan could get a good number of years out of the Belgian.

He will have a desire to impress as he looks to be Belgium’s starting striker at the World Cup in November.

  1. Honestly boggles my mind. A black free agent player choosing to play in Italy of all places. Kudos to him and Milan tho.

  2. I like this player. Origi may not be a big ‘star’, but he’s smart and can deliver the goods at the right time, at the decisive moment. Also, he has great attitude off the field, he is an athlete that corroborates w/ the team. He’ll be a very good signing, I’m certain of it.

    1. I agree – there are a lot of calls to sign another striker but I think these two will be the ‘go to’ for next season, both serious pros and proper team players.

  3. Oliver Giroud was a brilliant signing last season ,make no mistake about that …I said that his signing would possibly bring us the scuddeto and indeed it has.
The man has so much technical ability and scores goals in the most important matches …He will still be a force to be reckoned with next season , so definitely more goals from him ..Yes I think orgi will do well and be a success, but Giroud will still be very important.
We have got a superb team ,,and the experience of both Zlatan and Olivier has been a big factor..
We also have a great management team ..
So exciting times ahead next season .
