GdS: Paqueta likely to miss next two games with muscle problem

AC Milan could be without midfielder Lucas Paqueta for the games against Torino and Fiorentina this week, a report claims.

The Brazilian came on in place of Hakan Calhanoglu in the 64th minute of Milan’s defeat to rivals Inter at San Siro on Saturday.

Goals from Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku settled the game in favour of the Nerazzurri, but it appears that the Rossoneri have lost more than just the game for the time being.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Paquetà has a problem with his left thigh flexor muscle which he sustained in Saturday’s derby.

He will be evaluated on Monday and will undergo a medical examination, but he will almost certainly miss the game against Torino and ‘probably’ the game against Fiorentina on Sunday.

As a result, head coach Marco Giampaolo is surely likely to continue starting with Calhanoglu as the left sided midfielder, while an opening may now be present for Giacomo Bonaventura.
