GdS: Piatek to start vs. SPAL – Milan’s definitive stance amid €30m Spurs, Villa and West Ham interest

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan striker Kryzsztof Piatek is in line for a start against SPAL in Wednesday night’s Coppa Italia clash, but the club’s stance on his future is reportedly unchanged.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport – as cited by MilanNews.it – the Poland international will play in attack alongside Rafael Leao for the cup match at San Siro and will have a last chance to show his capabilities.

However, he still remains on the market and if in the next few days an offer of at least €30million should arrive, Milan would not hesitate to sell.

Saturday’s game against Cagliari was the first game since arriving at Milan that he spent a full 90 minutes on the bench without entering the field, proving he is no longer indispensable.

There is no shortage of admirers, the report continues, but for the moment no one has made an offer that could really interest Milan. Aston Villa, West Ham, Bayer Leverkusen have made enquiries, while in the last few days there has been talk of interest from Tottenham as they look to replace the injured Harry Kane.

We’ll see what will happen between here and the end of the January market, while tonight’s game against SPAL could well be an audition for the 24-year-old.
