While there is still a long way to go in the summer transfer window, head coach Stefano Pioli hopes to have an almost complete squad in 10 days.

According to today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below), Milan remain very active in the transfer window attempting to reinforce the squad that is available to Pioli ahead of the new season.

The head coach hopes to set off for the tour of the United States – on July 21 – with 80-90% of squad already completed. At the moment the official arrivals are those of Marco Sportiello, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Luka Romero, with Christian Pulisic to follow this week.

The motives for having most of the team in place as quick as possible perhaps do not need outlining given how obvious they are, however there is a bit of added pressure for Milan.

The Rossoneri have a very tough first 10 rounds of the campaign compared to their rivals, which means they will have to start off well to keep pace. Having the team gelled will therefore be imperative.
