GdS: Pioli appreciates Fiorentina star but price tag deters – what Milan must consider

By Isak Möller -

As Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn’t exactly getting any younger, turning 40 in October, Milan are looking for a striker that can be the name for the future. And ahead of the summer, they have several players on their radar.

According to Gazzetta Dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on the likes of Gianluca Scamacca and Dusan Vlahovic. Both are very young but if the former is considered expensive (€30m), the price tag of the Serbian is even higher.

Vlahovic’s contract will expire in 2023 and he has no intention of renewing it, which could work in favour of the clubs interested. Having said that, Fiorentina aren’t interested in letting him go easy and have slapped a €40m price tag on him.

Stefano Pioli appreciates the 21-year-old but it would be a significant investment for the Rossoneri, heavily dependant on the Champions League. Therefore, Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara will have a lot of factors to consider in the summer.
