AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli is studying the possibility of trying two other formations compared to his usual system, a report claims.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the temptation is there for Pioli to deploy Franck Kessie, Ismael Bennacer and Sandro Tonali as a three-man midfield because of the quality each player offers.
If Milan did deploy all three at the same time, it will be necessary to adjust the structure of the whole team from the 4-2-3-1 that Pioli has tended to use during the first couple of years of his tenure.
One of the systems he could turn to is a 4-3-3, with Ibrahimovic or Giroud as the centre-forward and Junior Messias and Rafael Leao on the wings. The second suggestion is the familiar 4-3-1-2, with Brahim Diaz the playmaker behind two strikers that could be Ibrahimovic and Giroud.
The final solution is the 4-3-2-1 Christmas tree that has not really been used since Ancelotti was in charge, with Brahim Diaz and Leao acting behind Ibra or Giroud.

If that’s the case, i’ll prefer ; 4-3-1-2 this will allow two of our forwards chance to play togather. and then Brahim can play kaka’s role behind them be it Giroud and Zlatan or one of them, with Leao or Messias but in this formation our wing wepons could be idle.
Well said.
Kessie leave already you greedy dog
The Christmas tree 4321 is also very nice
No Kessie he doesn’t need to play in Milan anymore
