GdS: Pioli disappointed with Rebic’s attitude as Milan career looks to be over

Ante Rebic’s career as an AC Milan player does not appear to be drifting towards conclusion but rather crashing and burning, if the latest reports are to be believed.

This morning’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport (as seen below) recalls that Rebic was not even called up to the squad for the game against Juventus on Sunday night, one in which Milan secured qualification for the next edition of the Champions League.

However, it was not because of an injury problem. Instead, Stefano Pioli decided to leave the Croatian winger out purely by technical choice, deeming it better to not have him at all than as a potential option off the bench.

As per the newspaper it comes down to what was seen in training during the few days building up to the game. The attitude and intensity (or lack of) shown by the former Eintracht Frankfurt man at Milanello clearly disappointed Pioli.

It is therefore likely that Rebic and the Rossoneri will part ways in the summer after 123 games and 29 goals scored from the 2019-20 season to date.

It must be seen if he does enough to be called-up for the Verona game on Sunday for a possible farewell.
