GdS: Pioli has a decision to make regarding Ibrahimovic – the Swede is desperate to play

By Oliver Fisher -

After four long months on the sidelines after undergoing surgery on a knee injury, Zlatan Ibrahimovic is finally ready to return to the field.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews), the Swede will do so on Sunday evening at San Siro as Lazio visit. Ibrahimovic will not be at 100% condition, but head coach Stefano Pioli knows just how important it is to have a leader back.

The paper writes that Zlatan has been back training with the squad for over a week now and has shown Pioli that he is urgent to play. Either today or tomorrow the striker and the head coach will decide whether he will play from the start, and if he does it might be just for an hour.

Of course even if he doesn’t start he should come off the bench to get vital minutes ahead of Milan’s upcoming matches, in particular the one scheduled for Wednesday in Liverpool at Anfield.
