GdS: Pioli has a ‘top Milan’ at his disposal – a mix of youth and experienced players

By Oliver Fisher -

While AC Milan’s summer business continues to divide opinion among supporters, La Gazzetta dello Sport believe that the management have done a good job.

The paper (via MilanNews) headlines a section dedicated to Milan’s mercato with: “The summer of the Devil: mix of young and successful experienced players, so Pioli has a top Milan.” They remark how so far the Rossoneri have closed ten signings, but it is not over yet since the club could close other additions today with Yacine Adli and Junior Messias set to be announced.

Pioli will thus have a good mix of youngsters and more experienced players who will be able to fight for the top positions this season, with the season having started well after two wins from the opening two games.

Milan have been one of the most active teams on the market as they started making moves back in June, with Mike Maignan, Fikayo Tomori, Sandro Tonali, Brahim Diaz, Fode Ballo-Toure, Olivier Giroud, Alessandro Florenzi, Pietro Pellegri and Tiemoue Bakayoko all joining, plus Chaka Traore, Adli and Messias to follow.
