GdS: Pioli ready to sign two-year deal at Milan – the figures

Stefano Pioli is close to being appointed as the new head coach of AC Milan, widespread reports claim, with Marco Giampaolo set to be sacked.

Gianluca Di Marzio reported on Tuesday that Pioli is indeed the man that has been chosen as an alternative to Luciano Spalletti.

Spalletti was the first choice of the leadership, and he apparently even agreed to take over at Milan on a three-year deal, but he could not resolve a severance package with Inter – where he has a contract until 2021.

MilanNews.it‘s Anto Vitiello then stated that Pioli is set to sign his deal with Milan on Tuesday, with his first training session at Milanello scheduled for Wednesday.

It has been confirmed by La Gazzetta dello Sport that Pioli will sign a two-year deal with the Rossoneri worth €3m in total (€1.5m-a-year).
