GdS: Pioli up to speed after Casa Milan meeting – the latest on the ongoing negotiations

There was an important meeting that took place yesterday afternoon at Casa Milan as Stefano Pioli was informed regarding where various negotiations stand.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (seen below) write that as soon as he returned from his holidays in Greece, the head coach stopped off at the club’s headquarters and met the CEO Giorgio Furlani for about 90 minutes.

The duo discussed transfer strategies and the new season in general, which will officially kick off with next Monday’s meeting at Milanello. Pioli will have Ruben Loftus-Cheek at his disposal after his arrival was made official, plus his shirt number today.

Pulisic: He might not be the only player to arrive from Chelsea as Christian Pulisic is moving ever closer to joining Milan. He has said yes to lowering his salary to €4m net and has rejected Lyon, who sent a €25m bid to the Blues.

Pulisic only wants Milan and does not accept alternatives. The Rossoneri have made an offer of €14m, which is equal to the last instalment of the amortisation to be paid by the London club who bought him for €64m in 2019.

However, an agreement is not yet there, it is possible that it closes at around €20-22m, including bonuses.

Reijnders: While also working on Davide Frattesi, Milan are also moving for other midfield targets. In recent days, an offer of around €16m plus bonuses was presented to AZ Alkmaar for Tijjani Reijnders, but it was not enough.

The Dutch side want €20m, and a deal is close. Like Pulisic, Reijnders has also given the go-ahead to make the move to Italy.

Musah: The USA international at Valencia has an agreement with Milan, but they are yet to find a deal with his club who continue to ask for €25m despite being in financial difficulty.

Chukwueze: The Nigerian winger could join to reinforce the right wing, but an agreement on fee must be found with Villarreal.

Morata: The centre-forward to support Olivier Giroud might come from Spain too and it is no mystery that Alvaro Morata is admired by Milan. A meeting with his representatives is possible this week.
