AC Milan will return to Serie A action tomorrow evening as they welcome Empoli to San Siro, following Tuesday night’s win in the Champions League.
Milan went into that match against Slovan Bratislava under pressure to perform after being jeered off the field following the 0-0 draw against Juventus. Despite three goals and three points, the worries have not subsided.
Instead, Paulo Fonseca’s side demonstrated that their vulnerability has not vanished as they conceded twice and ended up narrow victors against a side that were bottom with zero points, two goals scored and 15 conceded in the four games prior.
The Milan vs. Empoli predicted XIs
Nonetheless, we move on to Saturday’s game and La Gazzetta dello Sport’s predicted teams. Luka Jovic, Alessandro Florenzi and Ismael Bennacer are the known absentees due to injury, with each recovering from surgery.
The paper believes Mike Maignan will have a back four consisting of Emerson Royal, Matteo Gabbia, Malick Thiaw and Theo Hernandez ahead of him, with no surprises to see Youssouf Fofana and Tijjani Reijnders in the midfield.
The attack should consist of Samuel Chukwueze on the right, Christian Pulisic down the middle and Rafael Leao on the left as the trident behind the returning Alvaro Morata, who served a suspension in midweek.
Empoli meanwhile have some players to look out for, such as the ex-Milan duo Lorenzo Colombo and Pietro Pellegri in attack, Devis Vasquez in goal and reported transfer target Giuseppe Pezzella as the left wing-back.
Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Emerson, Gabbia, Thiaw, Theo Hernandez; Fofana, Reijnders; Chukwueze, Pulisic, Leao; Morata.
Predicted Empoli XI (3-4-2-1): Vasquez; Goglichidze, Ismajli, Viti; Gyasi, Henderson, Maleh, Pezzella; Colombo, Cacace; Pellegri.
Now that’s Good Acmilan can be win this match and also all matches what we need now is pressing their midfield with ball making sure will pass the ball very well to our players not giving them a chance to pass with the balls and also not missing the ball when passing then maignan will get the ball to Morata for him to score while pulisic will create chance for leao and chukwueze to score then pulisic is allowed to score only when he has the chance to score then our Reijnder and Fofana must be clinical not to allow attackers to penetrate while Theo must not run through the wing rather his work is to give leao pass for leao to penetrate defense. the same to Emerson to help chukwueze to penetrate the defense. So our line up is wonderful the system is easy to understand
I Prefer Camarda/Tammy up front while Morata playing behind as SS of AMF. Or with 433 with Musah/RLC playing as right MF as alternate in second half.
You suggesting Loftus-Cheek starting at all is crazy. Did you not watch his last start? He was a ghost and him before Pulisic is insane.
